Having trouble with Ko-fi?

Use this page if Ko-fi is confusing, the plugin does not appear in your DAW, or macOS/Windows asks questions after a manual install.

Downloading from Ko-fi

VocRide and Sibalance are free / pay-what-you-want plugins. The official download pages are on Ko-fi.

Steps
  • 1. Open the official Ko-fi product link from this site.
  • 2. Choose the amount you want to pay, including zero if you just need the free download.
  • 3. Complete Ko-fi checkout and download the archive for your operating system.
  • 4. Unzip the archive before copying plugin files into DAW plugin folders.
If Ko-fi fails
  • Try another browser or a private window.
  • Check that email delivery from Ko-fi is not going to spam.
  • If payment or checkout blocks you, email [email protected] and mention the plugin, OS, and what Ko-fi showed.

Install paths

Quit your DAW first, copy only the plugin format folder/file, then reopen the DAW and rescan plugins if needed.

FAQ

Common things to check before sending a support request.

macOS Gatekeeper

The official macOS 1.2.0 builds are intended to be signed and notarized. If macOS says the plugin cannot be opened, remove old copies, download again from the official Ko-fi link, unzip the archive locally, copy the plugin again, and restart the DAW.

If the message remains, send the exact macOS message, macOS version, DAW name/version, and whether you installed VST3, AU, or CLAP.

Windows manual install

Copy the actual .vst3 or .clap item from the unzipped archive into the matching Common Files folder. Do not put the zip file itself into the plugin folder.

If the DAW still does not list it, run the DAW plugin rescan and check whether the DAW has a blocked/failed plugin list.

DAW does not see it

Confirm that your DAW supports the format you installed. For example, AU is macOS only, LV2 is Linux only in these builds, and not every DAW supports CLAP yet.

If the plugin was installed while the DAW was open, quit the DAW, reopen it, and run a full plugin rescan.

Presets location

Factory presets are built into the plugin. User presets are stored per plugin in the user application data folder.

  • macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/nClear/VocRide/Presets/ and ~/Library/Application Support/nClear/Sibalance/Presets/
  • Windows: %APPDATA%\nClear\VocRide\Presets\ and %APPDATA%\nClear\Sibalance\Presets\
  • Linux: ~/.config/nClear/VocRide/Presets/ and ~/.config/nClear/Sibalance/Presets/

Short answers for the most common support cases.

"It does not open on macOS"

Please use the official 1.2.0 Ko-fi download, remove older copies from your plugin folders, unzip the archive on your Mac, copy the needed format again, restart the DAW, and rescan. If macOS still blocks it, send me the exact warning text.

"My DAW does not see it"

Check that the plugin is in the correct folder for the format your DAW supports, then run a full plugin rescan. Include your DAW, OS, CPU architecture, and plugin format if you contact support.

"Where are AU / VST3?"

macOS includes VST3, AU, and CLAP. Windows includes VST3 and CLAP. Linux includes VST3, CLAP, and LV2. Use the format your DAW supports.
